This intensive is designed to provide skill instruction to dancers who are interested in continuing to enhance their technical ability and experience learning dance in a unique professional atmosphere at Venango College of Clarion University.
The intensive will be broken into sessions for different levels of training. The focus of the sessions will be stretch and strength, technique, choreography and audition preparation. Students will learn skills in a variety of styles including ballet, tap, jazz, musical theater and hip hop. They will also be taught professional choreography to challenge the skills they will learn in the sessions. At the end of the week, students will showcase their new choreography in an end-of-week Master Class. Individuals and teams are encouraged to attend.
Session 1: $75 per student
Session 2: $150 per student
Session 3: $150 per student
*A discounted rate will be given for additional students from same family.
*Fee covers the week of sessions, workshops and Master Class.

Session 1: Recreational; Tue-Fri 2-2:45 p.m.
Age 7-9 and students with no previous education.
Ballet and Jazz Basics
Session 2: Beginner - Advanced Beginner; Tue-Fri 3-5 p.m.
Age 10* and up; should have 2+ years of experience in Ballet. *Age is flexible depending on student’s ability.
Ballet, Jazz and Hip Hop.
Session 3: Intermediate - Advanced, and Adults; Tue-Fri 6-8 p.m.
Student should have 5+ years of experience in dance.
Contemporary Jazz, Ballet and Tap, and Theater and Hip Hop
Instructor Assistants: Clarion University Dance Team
Master Class: All Sessions; Saturday 7-9 p.m.
Saturday's Master Class will combine all session groups and will incorporate a time for the students to show off what they've learned for their family, friends and fellow students and will include a special performance from the Clarion University Dance Team as well as the instructor and assistants.
